Kinesiology Taping

A little elastic for a better performance...

Results show the application of K.T.T. decreases the variability of rhythmic movements by a 2-fold effect: K.T.T. provides extra proprio-ceptive information activating cutaneous mechano-receptors, K.T.T. biases towards the emergent timing thus modulating the processes for rhythmic movements.

KTT appears able to render movements less audio dependent by relieving, at least partially, the central structures from time control and making available more resources for an augmented performance.

Does KT Taping reduce swelling...

Kinesio -Taping® for oedema is a lymph correction technique that facilitates circulatory and lymphatic flow. It is recommended that only practitioners trained in treating lymphatic disorders and the application of Kinesio® Tex use this technique as a treatment.

Effective and successful results will only be obtained by applying the correct taping applications for a specific condition.

The Design Purpose behind this range of medical solution

What is Kinesio Taping made from...

Kinesio® Tex Tape is made from a very thin, porous, 100% cotton fabric. It has a medical grade heat-activated adhesive. It is non-medicated and latex free - making it very skin friendly.

The technique is the most unique part, however the true benefits of the taping method were not realised until Kinesio® TexTape was developed. The method requires special tape that is skin friendly, with optimum elasticity and durability.

How long can Kinesio Taping be worn...

Kinesio® Tex is designed to be worn for multiple days (3 to 5). An hour after application it will withstand athletic activity and showering without coming off. The water resistant type should be used for hands and feet and it is also useful for people who regularly take part in sporting activities.

There is enough tape on one roll for 6-10 applications depending on the area and method of treatment.

Can KT be used with other therapies...

Kinesio Tex Tape can be used in conjunction with other therapies, including cryo-therapy, hydrotherapy, massage therapy, and electrical stimulation.Firstly, apply the tape one hour prior to sports activity or showering - this allows the glue to adhere fully.

The skin needs to be free of oil, sweat, lotion or water prior to applying the tape and after application the tape should be rubbed to activate the heat sensitive glue. Do not use a hairdryer to activate the glue.
